Mechanism of Action

Dosage Guidelines
Constipation

Adults/adolescents: 15–45 ml once daily (adjust as needed) .

Children 7–14 yrs: 10–15 ml/day; 1–6 yrs: 5–10 ml/day; infants <1 yr: ~2.5–5 ml/day .
Hepatic Encephalopathy

Often 30–45 ml taken 3–4 times daily .
