Corex DX Syrup 100 ml

Composition

Each 5 ml (1 teaspoon) contains:

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate – 4 mg
  An antihistamine that alleviates symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes.

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide – 10 mg
  A cough suppressant that acts on the brain’s cough center to reduce the urge to cough.

Indications

Corex DX Syrup is primarily used for:

• Temporary relief of dry (non-productive) cough due to throat irritation, sneezing, and runny nose.

• Alleviation of allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and throat irritation.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults and children over 12 years: 5–10 ml, 2–3 times daily, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

• Children aged 6–12 years: 2.5–5 ml, 2–3 times daily.

• Children aged 2–6 years: 1.25–2.5 ml, 2–3 times daily.

• Children under 2 years: Use only under medical supervision.

Note: Always use the provided measuring cup or spoon for accurate dosing.

Mechanism of Action

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate: Blocks histamine receptors, reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose.

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide: Suppresses the cough reflex by acting on the brain’s cough center.
