Chericof Syrup 100 ml

Composition (per 5 ml)

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide – 10 mg (cough suppressant)

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate – 2 mg (antihistamine)

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride – 5 mg (decongestant)

Indications

• Relief from dry (non-productive) cough,

• Nasal congestion,

• Common cold symptoms,

• Allergic conditions like sneezing, runny nose, throat irritation

Mechanism of Action

1. Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex in the brain.

2. Chlorpheniramine blocks histamine, reducing allergy-like symptoms.

3. Phenylephrine constricts nasal blood vessels, easing congestion

Dosage

• Adults: 10 ml (2 tsp) every 4–6 hours, up to 3–4 times daily.

• Children 6–12 years: 5 ml (1 tsp), 3–4 times daily.

• Children 2–6 years: 2.5 ml (½ tsp), 3–4 times daily.

• Always follow a physician’s guidance

How to Use

• Shake well before each use.

• Take it with or without food.

• Use a proper measuring spoon or cup.
