Composition

• Paracetamol – 250 mg per 5 ml

Indications

Paracip Suspension is indicated for:

• Fever: Reduces elevated body temperature associated with infections or other febrile conditions.

• Pain relief: Alleviates mild to moderate pain, including headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and discomfort associated with the common cold or flu .

Mechanism of Action

Paracetamol functions as both an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are chemicals responsible for pain and fever, thereby helping to reduce pain and lower body temperature .

Dosage and Administration

• Administration: Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the prescribed dose using the provided measuring device.

• Timing: Can be taken with or without food; however, administering after meals may reduce the risk of stomach upset.

• Frequency: Typically administered every 4–6 hours as needed, not exceeding the maximum daily dose recommended by your healthcare provider.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as remembered, unless it’s nearly time for the next dose. Do not double doses to make up for a missed one .
