Ofloxacin 50 mg / 5 ml (fluoroquinolone antibiotic)

Metronidazole 100 mg / 5 ml (antiprotozoal antibiotic)
Indications
Used to treat:

Bacterial and parasitic infections, including:

Gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea, dysentery)

Urinary tract infections

Respiratory infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)

Skin, soft-tissue, dental, and genitourinary infections in children

Mechanism of Action

Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase/topoisomerase enzymes, preventing replication
-
Metronidazole damages protozoal and anaerobic bacterial DNA—resulting in a broad bactericidal effect
Dosage & Administration

Shake well before use
-
Usually administered twice daily (morning and evening)
-
Can be taken with or without food; giving with meals can reduce stomach upset
-
If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes, repeat once; do not double dose if the next dose is imminent
