Composition

• Active Ingredient: Mefenamic Acid – 100 mg per 5 ml

Indications

Meftal-P Suspension is indicated for:

• Pain Relief: Alleviates mild to moderate pain, including headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and pain associated with injuries.

• Fever Reduction: Helps lower elevated body temperature in children.

• Inflammation: Reduces swelling and redness associated with conditions like juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

Mechanism of Action

Mefenamic acid, the active ingredient in Meftal-P Suspension, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, chemicals in the body that promote inflammation, pain, and fever.

Dosage and Administration

• Administration: Oral suspension; shake well before use.

• Measuring: Use the provided measuring cap or spoon for accurate dosing.

• Timing: Can be taken with or without food; however, taking it after meals may reduce the risk of stomach upset.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as remembered, unless it’s nearly time for the next dose. Do not double doses to make up for a missed one
