Composition
Each 5 ml contains:

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg – a nasal decongestant

Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg – an antihistamine
Indications
Maxtra is used to temporarily relieve symptoms of common cold, allergic rhinitis, and cough with nasal congestion including sneezing, runny or stuffed nose, itchy throat, and watery eyes
Mechanism of Action

Chlorpheniramine blocks histamine receptors to reduce sneezing, itching, and secretions.

Phenylephrine constricts nasal blood vessels to reduce congestion
Dosage & Administration

Shake well before use

Can be taken with or without food; food may reduce stomach upset

Use the provided measuring device.

Age‑based dosing (typical):

≥11 yrs: 5–10 ml every 8 hrs

5–11 yrs: 5 ml every 8 hrs

2–5 yrs: 2.5 ml every 8 hrs

<2 yrs: only under medical supervision
