Duolin Respules

Duolin Respules are nebulizer ampoules that combine:

• Levosalbutamol (1.25 mg) – a fast-acting β₂-agonist bronchodilator

• Ipratropium Bromide (500 µg) – a long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator

This combination relaxes airway muscles and improves breathing.

✅ Primary Uses

• Asthma (especially moderate to severe or inadequately controlled by single bronchodilators)

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) – including bronchitis and emphysema

• Bronchospasm relief – covers wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and persistent cough

Note: It is not for sudden severe asthma attack—use a rescue inhaler instead

• Begins to take effect within minutes and may alleviate symptoms for several hours

💊 Dosage & How to Use

• Adults & children over 6 years:

  • 1 respule (3 mL) through a nebulizer every 6–8 hours, typically 3–4 times daily

  • Usage steps:

  1. Twist off respule top, pour into nebulizer cup

  2. Inhale until mist clears (5–10 min)

  3. Clean equipment after use

Do not stop use abruptly; continue as prescribed even when symptoms improve

⚠️ Side Effects

Common (usually mild and temporary):

• Dry mouth or throat irritation

• Tremors, headache, palpitations

• Dizziness, cough, muscle cramps

Severe effects (rare):

• Allergic reactions, chest pain, urinary issues, unexpected fast heartbeat
