Dermiford Cream

It combines five active ingredients:

• Clobetasol (0.05%) – a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, itching, and redness.

• Gentamicin (0.1%) – an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by preventing protein synthesis.

• Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) (1%) – an antimicrobial agent effective against bacteria and fungi.

• Ketoconazole (1–2%) – an antifungal that disrupts fungal cell membranes.

• Tolnaftate (1%) – an antifungal that inhibits fungal cell wall formation.

Uses of Dermiford Cream

Dermiford Cream is primarily used to treat:

• Fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, and fungal nail infections.

• Bacterial skin infections like impetigo and infected eczema.

• Inflammatory skin conditions that involve both infection and inflammation, including some cases of acne vulgaris and dermatitis.

Side Effects

Most side effects are mild and temporary, including:

• Burning, stinging, or itching at the application site.

• Redness or dryness of the skin.

• Skin thinning or irritation with prolonged use.

Serious side effects are rare but may include:

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, dizziness, difficulty breathing).

• Blistering or peeling of the skin.

How to Use

• Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin only on the affected area.

• Use as directed by your healthcare provider, typically once or twice daily.

• Wash your hands before and after application, unless treating the hands.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.

• Do not use for more than 2 weeks unless advised by your doctor.
