Composition

Each 5 ml of Asthakind-DX Syrup Sugar Free contains:

• Phenylephrine – 5 mg

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate – 2 mg

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide – 15 mg

These active ingredients work synergistically to provide relief from nasal congestion, allergic symptoms, and persistent cough.

Mechanism of Action

• Phenylephrine: A decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion.

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate: An antihistamine that blocks histamine receptors, alleviating symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide: A cough suppressant that acts on the brain’s cough center to reduce the urge to cough.

Contraindications

Asthakind-DX Syrup Sugar Free should not be used in:

• Individuals with a known allergy to any of its components

• Patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) due to the risk of urinary retention

• Those who have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like selegiline or rasagiline within the last 14 days
